Heh, boomkin

Looking back on my old articles here on this blog, I played Boomkin for quite a while. Now, new Boomkin cards are coming out (Gale Winds, Earth and Moon) and they no longer excite me. I guess I'm getting too spikey for the wow tcg, eh?

It's just part of the game changing. Obviously when I was playing back then nobody would be caught dead with Fizzle in their deck because nobody played Mage, of course. It wasn't good enough at the time, and even though Black Ice was starting to become at deck in 2007, Boomkin was still considered one of the top contenders in the game for the reason that it just went ball-freaking-listic on some decks with Dream State in play. I mean...Watson won a tournament with Boomkin. Two were in the top 8 at NACC that year. You be the judge.

I do, however, feel a sense of sadness on the simple fact that I no longer own those Moonfires, those old Moonkin Forms, and all of those old and awesome cards that I used to play with. It's part of growing older, I guess. I essentially traded those cards for booze and parties. It's part of moving on to some degree.

But I'll still have my Force of Wills from the friend, and my Blade of Wizardry signed by Daniel Betancourt. ;)

Moved on...to another WoW TCG site

After many breaks in WoW TCG and slinging wow cards in general, I've gotten back to writing and editing. However, it's not for this or any other blog. It's for Daily Metagame, a WoW TCG website that Tim Rivera, Phillip Martin, James Hollister, and I launched in late November of 2010. We're in our 11th week and are still going strong! :)
